Kabaddi World Cup Winners List: Circle Style Championship
This world cup style was started by the Punjab Government in 2010. Between 2010 and 2020, a total of 7 World Cups were hosted by the Government of Punjab in India. Interestingly, 6 out of 7 World Cups of circle style were won by India. Note down that the last circle-style kabaddi World Cup was held in 2020, in Lahore, and hosted by Pakistan. The host country won the World Cup.

Kabaddi World Cup Winners List: Standard Style Championship
This world championship is conducted by the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF). The first ever standard style men’s World Cup was held in 2004. World Cup for women was started in 2012. Both the inaugural tournaments were won by India.

Kabaddi World Cup Winner List 2025
Another World Cup was held in 2025, where India showcased its supremacy as it won the men’s as well as women’s titles. It took place in the West Midlands, United Kingdom, from 17th March to 23rd March. It was the first time that this tournament was hosted outside any Asian country.
Talking about the match destinations, they were hosted in Wolverhampton, Walsall, Coventry, and Birmingham. The event was around one week long, where players from different countries gathered to compete with each other.

India conquered the world in a thrilling final
The thrilling final of the Kabaddi World Cup 2025 has happened between England and India. The all-time world champion India entered the final with confidence after thrashing Wales in the semis by 93-37. The host country – England, on the other hand, beat Scotland in the semis by 84-36.
When it comes to the competition, both teams started aggressively but cautiously. In the beginning, England was on the dominant side as they were leveraging the agility of raiders and the sharp reflexes of defenders.
The Indian side uses its calmness and experience to turn the situation to its favor. By the second half of the game, India was in the driving seat and the game was in its full control. The raiders stepped up to change the direction of the game. At the end, the thrilling final ended where India beat England by 44-41 and emerged as the world champion.
Kabaddi World Cup Winners: Awards and Prizes
Won by the Indian Kabaddi team, the actual winning amount is yet to be released officially. However, it is projected that the winning cash prize is around £150,000, while the runner-up, England, may get approximately £75000. Scotland, which finished 3rd, may also get a cash prize of £40,000.
