On Friday, April 18, 2025, former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal hosted the wedding of her beloved daughter Harshita, who tied the knot with her college friend Sambhav Jain. The grand wedding ceremony was held at Delhi’s Kapurthala House, which serves as the official residence for the Punjab Chief Minister during his visits to the capital. The couple got engaged at Delhi’s five-star hotel Shangri-La Eros.   

Harshita and Sambhav first crossed paths at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, where their journey together began. Harshita, the elder daughter of Arvind Kejriwal and Sunita Kejriwal, pursued chemical engineering at IIT-Delhi and graduated in 2018. The Kejriwal family also includes their son, Pulkit, who is currently pursuing his studies at the same institution.

An IIT alumnus, Sambhav Jain, is Harshita’s husband. He works as a project management consultant for a private company. Harshita Kejriwal and Sambhav are also the proud co-founders of Basil Health, a startup offering tailored healthy meals using advanced technology like automation. The idea behind the startup reportedly came from Harshita’s struggle with maintaining healthy food habits during her consulting career. Harshita and Sambhav’s love story began at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, where both studied. 

Before starting her venture, Harshita worked as an associate consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Gurugram. Harshita also accompanied her father in his political work and was often seen participating in Aam Aadmi Party’s election campaigns along with her mother.

The couple danced to the hit song ‘Angaro Ka Ambar Sa’ from the blockbuster movie- Pushpa 2: The Rule. 

The couple’s thrilling performance was captured in a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), and recently took the internet by storm. Punjab CM, Bhagwant Mann was also seen enjoying the function and surprised everyone with his bhangra moves at the engagement ceremony. The video was praised online as it offered a heartwarming glimpse into the personalities’ personal lives.

The wedding ceremony witnessed the presence of many prominent AAP leaders, including Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who attended the celebrations to bless the newlyweds. Bollywood singer Mika Singh and AAP Minister Gopal Rai also marked their presence to bless the newly married couple. 

Despite Arvind Kejriwal’s high-profile political journey, he always kept his children away from the limelight, and both his children led low-profile lives.  

As AAP continues its governance in Punjab, while preparing for the assembly elections, which will be held in 2027, the recent celebration brought happiness for the Kejriwal family.
